Get stronger bones by eating good fat

People who eat a diet high in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) — one of the “good” omega-3 fats — have stronger bones, according to a recent study from The Pennsylvania State University. Researchers say that plant sources of the fat (such as walnuts and flaxseeds) strengthen bones as well as seafood sources… good news for people who don’t like fish or who want to avoid mercury in their diet.

If you want stronger, healthier bones (not to mention much better all-around health) it’s a good idea to include several sources of ALA — as well as other omega-3 fats — in your diet!
